To make the meaning of the opening paragraph of my petition dated 14th. April, 1915, clear, I propose to revize the last, or closing paragraph, to read as follows:-.
"I therefore have the honour to apply that the date "at which my promotion should take effect be altered *to February, 1911, or in default, that no distinction "be made between Mr. Dillon and me by granting me my *maximum salary, under the new scale, from 1et.
"January, 1915.
I humbly trust that this slight alteration will make
my meaning olear.
I therefore most humbly request that this explaination, together with my petition dated 14th. April, 1915, be forwarded to His Excellency the Governor for His Excellency's kind
consideration with your favourable recommendation on my behalf.
